FOR THE Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative Facility Acquisition
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Environmental Management (EM), is currently in the acquisition planning stage for the Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative (AMC) Facility acquisition to be located/constructed on the campus of the University of South Carolina-Aiken in Aiken, South Carolina. DOE has aging government-furnished facilities that the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) utilizes to support the performance of DOE mission needs. Specifically, the DOE needs safer, more cost-effective nuclear chemical manufacturing technology, facilities, and expertise to: 1) complete the safe cleanup of radioactive and chemical waste from Cold War activities including nuclear and energy research; and 2) comply with legally enforceable environmental regulatory requirements.
The News and Announcements and Documents Library pages of this website will be periodically updated to include news and project information to familiarize interested parties with the project and related contract requirements.
