KICK-OFF OF EMCBC COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN (CFC)

Even rivals eat chili together!

The EMCBC kicked off its Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) drive with a chili cook-off . There was stiff competition among chefs Lance Schlag, Thomas Aug, Elizabeth Rose, Mike Sedgebeer, Tim Jones, Kimberly Dellinger, Terry Brennan, Joanne Merritt, Bob Nelson and Dave Hincks, who mixed hearty batches of their favorite home-brewed chili recipes.

Our three discriminating judges Jack Craig, Ward Best and T.J. Jackson carefully sampled these exotic and tasty brews to determine who would be the EMCBC chili-cook off champion. Afterwards, brave EMCBC'ers enjoyed the chili, adding $258 to the EMCBC's fundraising goal. All chili pots were soon empty and tissues were handed out for those with runny noses.

The Champion Chef was Terry Brennan, Office of the Director, who submitted his ultimate world-famous The Ultimate Cost Estimate Black Bean Chili. Thomas Aug, Office of Legal Services, was the runner-up with his New Mexico The Trinity Site Chili.

EMCBC employees have a number of additional fund-raising events planned throughout the CFC campaign.
