Warm Up to Giving Food Drive...534 lbs. of Donations

The EMCBC participated in a summer food drive in the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), in partnership with the Chief Human Capital Officers (CHCO) Council, announced a “Warm Up to Giving Food Drive” initiative.

The drive encouraged Federal employees to bring non-perishable food items to their offices on the last Friday of August for collection and delivery to a local food bank. The focus has shifted from a DC initiative to a National effort.

“I would like to thank each and every one of you, who donated to the “Warm Up to Giving Food Drive” which was conducted during the months of July and August, 2009, said Lyn Chafin, EMCBC food drive coordinator. Jamie Rosskopf, Resource Development Manager from the Free Store Food Bank wanted to pass on to the EMCBC employees, “You had a great drive, 534 pounds collected. Thanks so much for helping us to end hunger in our community!”
