Paul Whalen Receives "President's Call to Service" Award
Volunteer Service Week April 15-21, 2007Paul Whalen and Jack Craig

Recently the EMCBC Director Jack R. Craig presented attorney-advisor Paul L. Whalen with “The President’s Call to Service Award” in
recognition and appreciation of his commitment to strengthening our
nation and for making a difference through volunteer service.

Paul was recognized for donating at least 4,000 hours of service to a remarkable variety of important efforts, including his church (adult Sunday School teacher and Church Board Chair) and the Northern Kentucky Interfaith Commission, where he is currently serving as President of the Board, Northern Kentucky Legal Aid Society, past service on both the Kentucky Board of Education and Fort Thomas Board of Education (where he served two terms as Chair) the Multiple Sclerosis 150 Bike Ride Program and as a Steering Committee Member and a contributor of over sixteen entries to the Encyclopedia of Northern Kentucky which is scheduled to be published in late 2007 by the University of Kentucky Press.
