Volunteers Build Up A Sweat to Benefit the “One Way Farm”
June 2007

In response to President’s April 2007 call to strengthen our nation through volunteer service, fifteen EMCBC employees and three family members volunteered to don their work clothes and work up a sweat planting flowers, weeding, trimming bushes and staining a gazebo at the “One Way Farm,” a home and refuge for abused children in the Cincinnati area.

Among those hearty volunteers were (in alphabetical order) Teresa Bayer, Greg Campbell, Lynn Chafin, Angela and Anthony Cooney, Jack and Marybeth Craig, Bob Everson, Bartley Fain, Dave Hincks, TJ Jackson, Kim Johnson, Tim Marcus, Joanne Merritt, Michael Sedgebeer, Kathy Sullivan, Bill Taylor and Linda Underwood.

Thanks to Kim Johnson and Lynn Chafin for organizing the outreach.  As you can see from the photos, the results were stunning. Click here for more photos. If you are interested in assisting the One Way Farm, more information can be found at http://www.onewayfarm.org
