EMCBC EXCEEDS GOALS IN 2006 COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN DRIVE

The EMCBC recently completed the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) drive, raising   $29,115 in overall contributions, with $22,699 in Cincinnati directed contributions, exceeding the $15,000 goal set by the Cincinnati Metro Area CFC. 

In addition to the typical payroll deductions, EMCBC employees hosted several fund-raising events that included a Bake Sale and Spirit Days, where EMCBC employees donated to wear their favorite sports jerseys on Mondays.  There was also drawing for eight theme baskets sponsored by the EMCBC offices.  EMCBC competed in a local favorite - Corn Hole tournament - that is like horseshoes, where a bean bag is tossed at a hole cut into a decorated board. These events raised $1,583 in additional donations.  

Congratulations to the 2006 CFC Corn Hole tournament champions, Randy Tormey and John Sellards.  Second place honors went to the team of Bartley Fain and Peggy Doherty.  Each was awarded, a prized Olympic-style medal resembling a miniature Corn Hole board.

• Bill Taylor, winning the “Mardi Gras” basket from the Legal Office
  
• Anne Wickham, winning the “Chocolate” basket from the Finance Office
  
• Julie Dock, winning the “Beverage” basket, also from the Finance Office
  
• Roxanna King, winning the “Cake” basket, the third basket from the Finance Office 
  
• Kaniah Konkoly-Thege, winning the “Date Night” basked from Human Resources
  
• Angela Cooney, winning the “Home Improvement” basket from the Logistics Office
